Food for Florida: Disaster food-stamp centers opened this morning and will remain open through Tuesday in Duval County

Disaster food-stamp centers opened this morning and will remain open through Tuesday in Duval County.

If you live in Duval or Nassau counties the center for those who were affected by Irma will open from 7am-6pm Oct 11-Oct 17 at the Regency Square Mall in Jacksonville.

To qualify, you must have lived or worked in a county included in a federal disaster areas dated on Septmber 5.

If you are already enrolled in the regular food-stamp program you will not be qualified for this program, this is only for people who do not have food stamps.

Because of the volume of people applying, service at each site is organized by the first letter of recipient’s last name.

Duval, Nassau counties – Regency Square Mall, 9501 Arlington Expressway Suite 260, Jacksonville

The site will be open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, through Tuesday, Oct. 17.

St. Johns, Flagler counties – St. Augustine Fairgrounds, 5840 State Road 207, Elkton

The site will be open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, through Sunday, Oct. 15.

Baker, Columbia counties – Parkview Baptist Church, 268 N.W. Lake Jeffery Road, Lake City
