Dove has apologized for their racist soap ad. The company says “They missed the mark of representing women of color.”

Dove has apologized for a racially insensitive advertisement amid a fury of social media backlash.

The company says it “missed the mark in representing women of color thoughtfully.”

In the now-deleted ad, a Black woman can be seen wearing a brown shirt before removing it to reveal a white woman wearing a much lighter colored shirt.

It then shows the second woman removing her shirt to show a third woman with a shirt of a third color.
